you're nice and sweet and awesome...but anyone can be nice sweet and awesomeSomeone said this to me recently, and it made me feel like crap. Because, although I don't aspire to be completely unique (kinda hard with 6 billion people) I'd like to be special. Not the inspiring kind of special. Not the precious kind of special, exactly. Just the me kind of special. I've got a lot in common with a lot of people. But i like to think my combination of interests and natural abilities make me different enough for it to matter.Haha which is why I'm kinda dismissing that notion. I matter. The statement could be true? But no way am I accepting that it means I can be easily replaced by anyone else. No one else can be nice and sweet and awesome in the exact same way I am. So there. :)And anyway, if just anyone can be awesome then you must be misusing the word
awesome. Definition: Far beyond what is usual, normal, or customary:
exceptional,
extraordinary,
magnificent,
outstanding,
preeminent,
rare,
remarkable,
singular,
towering,
uncommon,
unusual.
So...I'd saw not everyone could be awesome. Or awesome would mean common, not uncommon. Ordinary, instead of extraordinary...:)Eve.
