And I'll call you back later, he says. But you know he won't. You've waited for his call before, haven't you, my girl?He didn't call then. You just waited, and waited...What is it about hope that ties in with despair? When your hope is not realised you turn first to disappointment, then to hope, then a deeper disappointment and a weaker hope, and so on, and so forth, until your disappointment has reached tha depthof despair and your hope cannot make itself rise again. But hope never dies, does it?
So if you were an alien. If your world had been under attack. If your world had almost been destroyed (cliched, I know). If you tried to attack the attacker. Would you think that maybe you could get the attacker to stop? Or would you just want to destroy them for having destroyed what was yours? Whether or not those people actually held (or supported the ones who held) the gun/laser/destroying thingy?Hmm. I'd like to think they'd hope they could change us. From within. Show us they're not evil...but let's face it. The armies, airforces and navies of our countries would so do their tiny best to crush any potential danger that would not have repercussions on them (like genocide would for eg..but we haven't really seen such a good track record of anstaining from that, have we?).So I hope we have better weapons than them. Otherwise we are doomed. :sEve.
