No man is an island.No, that's not true.Every man is an island.We have our own innate resources, and not everyone has the tools to survive on their own (read Singapore - no water!!)We thrive through trade. An exchange of ideas and emotions and moments that feed the soul or sour it... and everything in between.But we really are by ourselves. Anyone who tells you otherwise lies.And yet you have to discover that for yourself. It doesn't seem to take root well if you are just told. I know, people kept trying to tell me that. All my life... But I just thought they were too cynical.Anyway.The point is.Although everyone is an island and therefore seems to prosper better when there is trade, everyone wants to trade with the islands with resources. More specifically, with the ones with the most resources. Who wouldn't be all that desperate to trade with them. So.I was just thinking about that.I'll go think some more about it now.
